Heya!

Here we combine double-stops and single notes to create a very tasty "old shool funk" guitar part played with a swing/hip hop feel!

Sound

I use the bridge & middle pickup in this example and the Mesa Boogie V-Twin preamp on the clean channel with a nice & smooth
sounding compression pedal, the Maxon CP-101.

Theory

Most of the notes played in this lick are from the A dorian mode/A minor pentatonic scale, except that we add the major third.
What we obtain is a funk lick with a subtle touch of Blues
